What is DIAMOND PRP

(Platelet-rich Plasma)

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a revolutionary technology, using ingredients of your own blood, which can help regenerate and rejuvenate your skin
providing you with age-defying results.

Platelet-rich plasma or PRP is the part of the blood that is rich in growth and repairing
factors (active proteins) essential for tissue regeneration and healing. These growth
factors mimic the body’s natural wound healing process. During this process
collagen, elastin and new blood vessels are increased, and damaged skin repaired and regenerated.
Collagen is what gives skin a youthful appearance but as we age collagen production
is reduced causing wrinkles and fine lines. To rejuvenate your skin these growth
factors must be injected into your skin to create vibrant skin that looks refreshed
and glowing.

DIAMOND PRP is indicated for the following:

  • Facial rejuvenation improving the overall health, and provides a more even skin tone and texture and elasticity of the skin as well as on the:

- Neck
- Décolletage
- Hands

  • Smooth out fine lines, crow’s feet and shallow wrinkles

  • Restore healthy glowing skin

  • Improving skin texture and dull, dry skin

  • Minimise visible signs of aged and sun damaged skin

  • Acne marks and superficial scarring

  • Stretch marks – abdomen, thighs and buttocks

  • V Shot

  • P Shot

  • Wound Healing

  • Dry Eyes – especially after Lasik surgery

  • Hair loss treatment

  • Sports injuries

HOW IS THE
DIAMOND PRP
ADMINISTERED
  • The practitioner draws a small volume of blood from

the patient’s arm just like in a standard blood test.

  • The blood is placed into a centrifuge and spins the

blood at a rapid rate to separate the platelet rich
plasma from the other components of the blood.

  • The platelet rich plasma is injected into the area

required using a very fine needle.

  • The procedure is performed after local anaesthetic

cream that has been applied to minimise any discomfort.

  • The procedure is usually an hour. Patients may have

some subtle skin redness after the procedure.Recovery
time is less than 24 hours

  • We recommend no excessive exercise for 24 hours

after the procedure

  • Before your treatment it is important to disclose

all medication including herbal medicine with your
practitioner. Do not use any anti-inflammatory
medication or topical creams for 2-3 days before your
treatment. Medication that contains aspirin should be
stopped 1 week before treatment. Always speak to
your physician first before stopping any medication.

  • We recommend you do not wash your face until the

following morning. Your face wash may irritate your
skin and it is best to keep the gel applied after the
treatment on as long as possible. The gel applied
after the procedure assists in the wound healing
process and seals the injection sites. You may apply
make-up 12 hours after treatment. Stay out of the sun

directly after treatment.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD DIAMOND PRP BE PERFORMED AND WHEN TO EXPECT TO SEE RESULTS?

Research and our doctors’ results have shown that the best results are obtained if you have your second treatment 2-3 weeks after your initial treatment.

After the two initial treatments DIAMOND PRP is performed every four months (three times per year). If Botox and fillers are part of your anti-aging rejuvenation regime DIAMOND PRP is recommended 1-2 weeks before or after your treatment.

DIAMOND PRP does not provide the immediate plumping short-term effect of neurotoxins and fillers but needs to be included as part of your yearly skin rejuvenation regime as it is the only procedure that can provide you with a more youthful overall glowing and vibrant complexion with a long-term benefit in improving your overall skin health and age defying results.

ARE ALL PRPs EQUAL?

What makes the DIAMOND PRP different from other PRPs

DIAMOND PRP copies the body’s natural way of activating the platelets to release active growth factors using activator solutions.

When a PRP system only injects the platelet rich plasma without an activator the same results may not be achieved. When the PRP is harvested the growth factors (healing proteins) are protected inside the platelets.

The growth factors are only activated once the platelets undergo a shape change. With the DIAMOND PRP, the PRP is placed in special glass vials with activator solutions to activate the platelets.

The DIAMOND PRP assures the platelets are active and able to release growth factors when injected back into the skin or injury
